Sprint…Need I say anymore?

Category : Cellular Service

What can I say about Sprint? I do NOT understand how they are still in business! I had a problem with my cell phone, and since I had the insurance (which they raised without consenting me!) I had brought my phone to the Sprint store. I try to avoid that place at all costs, why? They cannot take care of customers and everytime I went there everyone’s face looked mad and angry, nobody was happy and I always heard complaints and “where is your manager!” Why did I go back?
I had no choice it was the only Sprint Repair store near me. The problem with my phone was that it had a small crack on the outer LCD screen. So what did the Sprint employee tell me? “The crack is not covered by your insurance since it is a cosmetic crack.” The funny part is before I went to the Sprint store I called *2 (customer service) and asked if the phone was covered in the insurance. The response was “Yes.” So why would one service rep tell me it was covered while another service rep say otherwise? Well I had called customer service back while I was in the store, spoke to another service rep, asked the same question and for them to tell me, it IS covered under my insurance. So what I did was told the service rep on the phone to tell the in-store service rep my phone is covered under the insurance. I gave the in-store rep the phone (and he was not happy about it) and heard them argue back and forth. I mean this is the same company right? Why would they argue to each other that my phone is or isn’t covered under my insurance? Well after they finished arguing, I was told to call Asurion, which is Sprint’s insurance, and they will replace my phone. I called back and sure enough another problem. I needed to pay a $50 deductible for a refurbished phone. I argued that I did not want to pay $50 for a refurbished phone to have problems internally. I paid for a new phone so I wanted a new phone. I declined that offer and decided on a new route. I went to the Better Business Bureau, filed a complaint and will await a response. In essence, Sprint is 1 company with different answers. I will post when I hear a response.
