CDC Zombie Preparedness Guide – Zombie Apocalypse
Category : Miscellaneous
If you were wondering about a quick reference guide on what to do in case flesh eating, brain munching dead heads come wandering to your door step, then look no further!
The CDC has a nice, to the point, overview to get you prepared for the outbreak. No, don’t hide yo wife or hide yo kids, there ain’t no rapin’ going on – just good old blood splattering, moaning and groaning fun.
After going through the article on the CDC website, it attempts to target a broad range of disasters and not just tailoring specifically to a Zombie outbreak.
So, giving a plan of action of how to be prepared ahead of time (non-perishable food, water, flashlights, etc.) – details one can use in any situation. Whereas in a Zombie outbreak, you’d want to also be prepared with a 12 gauge, 9mm and some kind of weapon that doesn’t require ammunition (shovel, pick-axe, etc.) As well, the article goes on to mention safe routes, contact numbers, meeting points, etc. All things necessary in any kind of emergency (flood, hurricane, earthquake, bubonic plague, etc.)
It was a bit of an entertaining read which hold true to any emergency situation which can really happen – I’m not saying a Zombie outbreak couldn’t happen but the odds of it being likely are slim.
If you want another version, then pick up ‘The Zombie Survival Guide‘ and give an after read to ‘World War Z‘ [Two books of which are on my list to read – I’ve gotta be ready for these kinds of things, ya know]
